Solar PV panels are coupled with DC-AC inverters to interface the grid. DC to DC converters are connected in between DC to AC converter and the PV string for extracting maximum power. This makes each string to operate at its maximum efficiency. Conventionally, DC-DC converter utilizes the total string power known as full power processing topology. This tends to increase in the losses and degrading the conversion efficiency. This paper proposes a flyback partial power processing (FPPP) circuit which mitigates the 2nd harmonic component injected by the single phase inverter thereby ensuring the enhancement of maximum power extraction efficiency than traditional DC-DC converters. The suggested scheme was modeled and simulated in MATALB/Simulink to validate its performance. © 2019 IEEE.
