Abstract
This paper introduces a smart control system which automatically detects the amount of power transfer from the Renewable Energy sources to an Electric vehicle and optimizes the power flow. When there is fully charged condition of the vehicle battery the power is transferred from the Renewable Energy sources to the Power grid. During absence of Wind, the Wind Energy conversion System would be inactive. In such a scenario the Grid would act as the source for the Electric vehicle to be charged. During conditions when the wind energy is present but is in a fluctuating quantity, the energy from Wind energy Conversion System and the Grid is optimized for adequate transfer to the Electric Vehicle. The scheme also aims at maximizing the power capturing capacity from the Renewable energy sources and hence a novel Fuzzy Based Pitch angle Control mechanism is incorporated which also enables Maximum Power Point tracking mechanism. The Active power flow is controlled suitably to optimize the vehicle battery discharging. © 2017 IEEE.
