PID Controllers are the most widely used controllers due to their advantages such as simple mechanism and clear physical conception. Though they provide satisfactory results in many applications, they lack in nonlinear processes as they do not provide optimal control. This research work aims at improving the PID tuning by the proposed method based on PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) technique. The validation of the proposed technique over the PSO is shown through the simulation results. © Research India Publications.
