In the present world scenario, where heterogeneity among the platforms is becoming more common, we need an adaptable framework to handle diversified hardware and their architecture. In order to satisfy their processing requirement we require an adaptable operating system which can handle sensors and application requirement very easily. Many operating systems like TinyOS, Contiki, Mantis etc. provide solution for the heterogeneity at hardware level only. In this paper we propose an idea of adaptable framework which can handle the heterogeneity at hardware as well at software level. Our proposed model takes user/application requirement, simulates it and processes the core (Kernel + System Libraries and auxiliary libraries) of different hardware components to generate the system image of the final application. This solves our problem in switching different hardware platforms and also enhances the flexibility in programming development. © Research India Publications.
