Abstract
This paper putsforth the idea of control method for switched inductor Quasi ZSource Inverter based dc/dc converter. The existing Pulse Width Modulation shoot through control method is compared with the novel modulation technique, unipolar pulse width modulation. The new modulation technique increases efficiency, reduces switching frequency of transistor thus leading to soft switching. One of the main drawback of conventional PWM shoot through control method is unmatched switching frequency of transistor. The output voltage of SLQZSI is controlled by modulation index and shoot through control state. The switching frequency of the SLQZSI voltage is doubled by unipolar PWM. It leads to smaller, cheaper filter at the output and easier to implement. © Research India Publications.
