Concrete is the most broadly utilised material for building construction. Due to its excessive usage, the material is getting depleted addition, reinforcement with steel fiber enhanced the strength properties of concrete and polypropylene fibers controlled the plastic shrinkage and permeability of concrete. It has also been observed that incorporation of polypropylene fibers improved the impact resistance of concrete. Investigations are done to study the improved properties of concrete with combination of steel and polypropylene fibers. Future research works in these areas were also discussed. © Research India Publications.
