Abstract
Metal nanoparticle synthesis using plant-mediated method is a highly explored field of nanotechnology. It has many advantages such as less time consumption and non-effective to human beings. Gold and silver nanoparticles (AuNPs and AgNPs) have been chosen for this study because of its wide range of applications and importance in different fields. This review explains different plant sources for the synthesis of AuNPs and AgNPs, and their antimicrobial activity against food pathogens which will provide information to future studies. © 2016, Innovare Academics Sciences Pvt.
