Abstract
Cloud computing is the main paradigm shift in the field of information technology era. It a modern technology that provides the resources like storage, network, applications, hardware, etc., to the users on demand and it can be accessed anywhere, anytime when it is needed. Virtualization is used in cloud computing to provide resources to the users. There are several characteristics for cloud computing on-demand self-service, portable network access, elasticity, scalability. The dynamic behavior of cloud computing leads virtualization helps, user to achieve the scalability by emulating the physical machine into one or more workstation or servers. Assuring elasticity for cloud hosted application is a challenging issue. Prior works uses generic queuing models to analyze the elasticity and scalability services of the cloud. This paper presents an overview of performance evaluation techniques based on queuing system. © 2018, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc. All rights reserved.
