Abstract
This paper provides an overview of some well-known formal approaches for the synthesis and implementation of conventional controllers, logic controllers and advanced controllers to any type of system like Single Input Single Output (SISO) and Multi Input Multi Output (MIMO) systems. Also this paper reviews the literature for SISO and MIMO models with various controllers. Aim: Aim of the review paper is to find the correct mathematical modelling of the system using hardware setup or else using some identification method. Then design of controllers based on the nature of the system. Materials and Methods: It focuses on applications of Chemical reactors, boilers and other process control systems. In order to predict the future output, and discussed about the various estimation techniques of the process. Because the estimation is the process of finding an approximation, which is a value that is usable for some purpose even if input data may be incomplete, uncertain, or unstable. Results and Conclusion: Justification of the output is better and valid only by using equation based controller. So that, it was concluded that Modern Predictive Control (MPC) and Sliding Mode Controllers (SMC) are giving good results in both SISO and MIMO systems. © 2017, Center Transylvanian Studies.
