Digital Watermarking is the process of the embedding a signature into a digital data to verify the true identity of the owner. In this paper, we propose a robust watermarking technique based on Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Arnold transform. The technique embeds the watermark into the original image without making any noticeable in it. The pixels of the logo are initially scrambled using Arnold transform to improve the robustness of the technique. 8x8 blocks of the original image is considered to embed each pixel value of the watermark logo. The proposed algorithm is tested by embedding 64x64 watermark logo into 512x512 images using MATLAB software. The results show that the technique is robust against most of the attacks and it does not make any noticeable distortion in the original image. © Research India Publications.
