In this investigation, we consider a single server retrial queueing system with Bernoulli working vacation and vacation interruption. When the orbit becomes empty at service completion instant, the server goes for working vacation. In working vacation period, the server works in lower service rate. If there are customers in the orbit at lower rate service completion instant, the server will come back to the normal busy period. Meanwhile, at the end of each vacation, if there are no customers in the system, the server is idle and ready for serving new arrivals or it continuous the vacation. The probability generating function for number of customers in the system is obtained by using the supplementary variable method. Some system performance measures and numerical examples are presented. © Research India Publications.
