Abstract
Every Database is manipulated by a set of transactions. A transaction is a unit of database activities that accesses and possibly various data items. A transaction is usually the result of a program written in a high-level data manipulation language or programming language. Transaction management is the ability of DBMS to manage the various transactions that occur within the system. © Research India Publications.
