Abstract
Wireless network is one of the most commonly used network access to connect systems, mobile devices and other computer components. WIMNET is Wireless Internet-access Mesh Network which contains multiple access points to connect devices using real time application. By using tree topology structure we can get a better bandwidth as compared to line topology. Due to the use of multiple devices in tree or line topology, the evaluation of consumed bandwidth can be done more accurately using link share algorithm. In this algorithm, the network bandwidth is divided and allocated to different applications in an hierarchical manner which will make a link to share the available bandwidth. Using this shared link we can evaluate the bandwidth consumption using link share algorithm for improved accuracy. By using QualNet simulation, we get an accurate simulation result for evaluating the bandwidth consumption. © 2013 IEEE.
