Cloud computing is one of the incipient innovations which are discovering its utilization all over. Mobile cloud is one stage in front of cloud computing. We will give a brief an outline of cloud computing, mobile cloud computing and will discuss some of the application partition schemes for offloading in mobile cloud computing. In this paper, we give a broad review of application partitioning in mobile cloud computing research, while highlighting the particular suspicions in application partition. We introduce a taxonomy based on key issues in this area, and discuss about the distinctive methodologies taken to handle these issues. We conclude the paper with a critical analysis of challenges that have not yet been completely met, and highlight directions for future work. © 2016, International Journal of Pharmacy and Technology.
