Abstract
In current scenario the usage of composite beams has increased tremendously in many engineering fields and industrial work environment. These beams experience high vibrations in factories and manufacturing industries. It is one of the serious problems that need to be addressed because it results in loss of stability of a system ultimately leading to failure. To control the vibration the mathematical model of the beam is required. However it is difficult to develop the model analytically, so we perform modal analysis using solid works. The response from modal analysis is extracted into matlab environment. The state space modal of the beam is developed in matlab. The control loop is developed in Simulink using Pid controller and commonly used blocks. Negative feedback mechanism is used in the control loop. The Pid controller is tuned to get optimum control of vibration. It is visualized that there is significant amount of reduction in vibration using scope. © IAEME Publication.
