This paper deals with the addition of new functionality named as Glacial Initiate to the genset control module (GCM). This Glacial Initiate is for protection of engine from friction and to stop the failure of turbocharger And also to increases the throughput and performance of the genset. New Glacial Initiate acts as a support for the genset which in turn increase the life of the genset. To one of the connectors of the controller on engine side the air temperature sensor is attached which sense the ambient temperature. For the black box testing we have used potentiometer as a variable temperature sensor. A MATLAB/Simulink model is designed for simulating the actual working of the new Glacial initiates functionality.
