Advanced Tele-surgery with IoT Approach

Abstract
Availability of special doctors during emergency surgeries is decreasing. It is very vital to assist doctors in their surgeries of surgical tools. As a solution to this problem, tele-surgery concept prevails and many simulators have been developed for education, planning rehearsal, and so on. Some of the defects in the existing systems are interaction between the surgeon and the remote surgical room, display of the image, camera motion, data transfer quality, and accuracy in the motion capturing. These issues are overcome in this approach with an enhanced vision-oriented VR goggle and hand motion acquisition system (a control system) accessed by the surgeon. Data transfer is done using IoT which makes this system stand superior to the other approaches of tele-surgery. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2018.
