Through the wall imaging (TWI) is emerging research area used in various civil and military applications. Low to high band TWI systems have been extensively used in urban warfare situations. Especially, UWB signals have the capabilities of penetrating through the materials hence UWB RADAR is suitable for this situation. The extensive literature collected related to the identification of human targets is critically reviewed and presented in this paper.
