We analyze a batch arrival retrial queue with two phase service subject to breakdown. After the completion of both the phases of service, the unsatisfied customer may rejoin the orbit as a feedback customer to get another service with probability ‘p’ or may leave the system forever with probability ‘1-p’. When the system is empty, the server goes for first essential vacation. After the completion of first essential vacation, the server may either wait idle for customers to arrive or may take one of the K-optional vacations. Steady state probability generating function for system size and system performance measures are obtained. Numerical illustrations are discussed to see the effect of system parameters. © Research India Publications.
