Abstract
The present study investigates the effects of heat and mass transfer on asymmetric laminar flow in a porous channel with expanding or contracting walls in the presence of a chemical reaction. Both walls are assumed to have different permeabilities and expand or contract uniformly at a time-dependent rate. The governing equations are reduced to ordinary differential equations by using similarity transformation. A perturbation technique in the permeation Reynolds number and wall dilation ratio is employed to obtain the analytical solutions. The effects of various emerging parameters on flow variables have been discussed numerically and explained graphically. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
