An automated home control system is a complex system that includes a careful and astute integration of three particular domains i.e security, luxury and environment adaptability. The need for such an intelligent system to monitor our homes arises out of growing concerns about felonies, security threats as well as our desire to make our lives more comfortable. Also in the present scenario, many older couples are forced to live on their own in houses that fall very short on optimum security measures and emergency services due to various socio-economic reasons. Generally older people are seen as soft targets by callous offenders. Another grave problem faced by the senior citizens is their inability to get timely help in case of physical injuries while at home as they are debilitating to a great effect. This again puts them under harm's way. Hence we have come up with a unique system called ProGuard that not only takes care of these aforementioned security issue, but also provides enough luxury and adaptability to the milieu to make the lives of people using it secure and comfortable.
