Abstract
One of the fastest growing industries in India is the construction industry and it consumes major energy. Large quantities of construction materials are used in buildings which require large amount of energy during their production process. The total energy consumed by the construction materials can be reduced by selecting low embodied energy materials. This paper presents the details of assessment of indirect initial embodied energy of commonly used construction materials. © 2016 CAFET-INNOVA TECHNICAL SOCIETY. All rights reserved.
