Abstract
The present investigation deals with the nanofluid flow between expanding or contracting permeable walls with slip effects. In this work, bloodis considered as a Newtonian fluid and glod (Au) / copper (Cu) as nanoparticles. Thermal conductivity and specific heat for the both base fluid and nanoparticles are obtained using the Brinkmann and Maxwell Garnett models. The lower and upper walls of the channel are maintained at equal permeabilities. System of nonlinear ordinary differential equations is derived from the governing flow equations and is solved with the aid of homotopy analysis method. The obtained analytical solutions are in good accordance with the numerical solutions found through the shooting method along with Runge-Kutta method. The influence of nanoparticle volume fraction, wall expansion ratio and slip parameters on the various flow variables have been discussed in detail. © 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
