Abstract
The Design of Novel Dual Core Photonic Crystal (DC-PCF) structure is presented in wavelength range of 1100- 1650nm. A step by step optimization design proposed and maximum optimized value of high Birefringence 10-2 at telecommunication wavelength of 1550 nm and with short coupling length of (0.15-0.5) mm can be achieved. The proposed design support single-endless transmission over a long length of fiber. A very high birefringence of 0.02 and coupling length of 0.15 mm can be employed by excluding air holes with different diameter of air, different eccentricity parameters and forming a asymmetrical structure core. The confinement power in core can be achieved approximately 70% at telecommunication wavelength of 1550 nm. The bandwidth of 85 nm, 30 nm and 15 nm can be achieved and covers S,C,L and U bands respectively with high extinction ratio of 45.9065 dB (above 20 dB) and - 46.1840 dB (below 20 dB) at 1300 nm and 1590 nm respectively. © 2016 IEEE.
