Abstract
In this paper, the characteristic analysis of a dual core circular Photonic Crystal Fiber is studied. The fiber is designed ford/Λ ratio of 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 are simulated for wavelength range from 800nm to 1850nm using Finite Element Method. The properties like confinement loss, birefringence, dispersion, effective mode area and nonlinearity are analyzed. The results show that birefringence of the order of 10-2 is obtained and zero dispersion wavelength at 1094.1 and 1047.1 and 1031.4 nm for d/Λ ratio of 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 respectively. The fiber can be used in polarization maintaining fibers. © 2017, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc. All rights reserved.
