The digital control of power electronic converters became popular with the evident of faster and cheaper processors. This paper gives an insight on PFC by digital-control with Digital Signal Processor (DSP).Interleaved PFC boost converter is used as power circuit. For a better study, digital-linear average current mode controller is compared with non-linear flatness based controller. In both the topologies, the principle behind controller design is explained, change in efficiency with load variations and also response of the converter for step change in load is analyzed. © Research India Publications.
