Healthcare wireless sensor network (HWSN) is the emerging technology necessary to frequently monitor the patient's condition. It collects the data from the patient where the data might be critical or noncritical. There is no need of doctors to check the patient's condition each time. There are number of sensors which sense the patient's physical details including movements, blood pressure sensor etc,. The major challenge in healthcare wireless sensor network is that the data packets must reach the Physician on time and also reduce congestion while routing the data packets which stores the patient details so that it may increase the lifetime of the patient. This paper gives the survey of varies types of mechanism used in HWSN and the results of each mechanism based on energy consumption, throughput, end to end delay and packet loss. © 2019 IEEE.
