Abstract
Applications in pervasive environment are, detect the environmental changes, further processing bountiful supply of information, and respond to the processed information by altering contexts overtly. It aims the interlinking of independent devices, whose purpose is to reinforce the contact between technology and intended human users. Many of the existing applications are not proactive and not in rich context too. The usual reminders will remind, even when the intended user is unavailable, become unknown, and finally expires. We propose rich-context con-minder which is rich in context and supports events to be updated and expired automatically after completion of the task. Allure of our proposal is, to grant the reminder in the suitable real-time situation with respect to user, physical, and environmental behaviors. It is a deliberate attempt to provide a soft real-time system which proactively determines suitable timing to deliver them in the appropriate situation. © Springer India 2015.
