Abstract
Software testing is primarily a broad process aimed at investigating, evaluating and ascertaining the comprehensiveness, the quality of the software system in terms of user requirements. The key characteristic of software testing is that it has huge intellectual capital got from past experiences which yields potential benefits. Many effective knowledge management systems are specially proposed for managing this intellectual capital. Software testing gains positive verdicts using this knowledge management discipline. Many proposals are formalized for managing the software testing experiences and the testers’ knowledge but these concentrates on the generic description of the information and designed commonly for the product based system. The Current trend in software context is developing the custom software application, so a distinctive framework termed as Customized Knowledge Sharing (CKS) is proposed in this paper that provides knowledge management service, exploration service and document service. This framework specifically concentrates on getting the users’ requirements to retrieve appropriate test cases to generate suitable test suits for customized testing, there by optimizing/reducing the testers’ job rather than executing all the test suits as in contractual approaches. © 2017, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc.
