Design and analysis of meanderline PIFA antenna with MIMO system for mobile handheld device

Abstract
In this paper, a dual band, multiple input multiple output (MIMO) planner inverted F antenna (PIFA) is presented. The two meanderline PIFA are designed with MIMO configuration for LTE application, along with two PIFA the two more PIFA are designed for the GSM application in same structure. Hence, the design is for mobile handheld device for LTE(2500-2700MHz) and GSM 900MHz. The both PIFA antennas covers dual bands, which are lower band 1.8GHz (1700-1900GHz) and upper band 2.6GHz (2500-2700GHz). The two meanderline PIFA have same geometry, also two more PIFA which are designed for the GSM application have same geometry. The overall size of the meanderline PIFA is 9.3mm × 25mm × 5mm. The design of meanderline PIFA and other two PIFA, also measurement of return loss, envelope correlation coefficient (ECC), gain and radiation patterns were carried out by using Anosoft HFSS 13.0 © 2017 IEEE.
