This paper proposes Switched coupled inductor (SCL) based quasi-Z-Source cascaded multilevel inverter (qZS-CMI), (SCL qZS-CMI) using nearest level modulation (NLM) technique in this paper. The proposed inverter introduces appealing advantages over conventional qZS-CMI such as lower component voltage stress, improved output power quality and efficiency. Both simulation and experimental verification have been carried out for SCL qZS-CMI with a power rating of 250W to validate the above claims. © 2020, Gazi University Eti Mahallesi.
