Abstract
Tremendous development of internet infrastructure and popularity of social networking games among Indians have grabbed the attention of social media game developers. The objective of this study explores the factors that affect behavioral intention, use behaviour and addiction towards social network games (SNG) among Indian college students. The Combined Technology Acceptance Model and Theory of Planned Behaviour (CTAMTPB) model was used as a theoretical background of this study. The questionnaire was distributed to undergraduate and postgraduate students of a private university in south India. The data of about 286 was collected. The structural equation modelling (SEM) analysis was carried out using Smart PLS 2. The results showed improvement in explanatory power with the application of CTAMTPB model in social networking game (SNG) context. Results also reveal that apart from CTAMTPB constructs Perceived Enjoyment, Flow and Social Network Intensity has a significant impact on Behavioral Intention and Use Behaviour towards Social Network Game. The theoretical contribution and policy implications were discussed at the end. © Serials Publications.
