This paper presents various control schemes in the form of state flow diagrams with dynamic and fixed reference. The objective is to maximize the digital component against analog components in the implementation of the controller. Voltage mode control with fixed, variable and dynamic references and current limiting features are employed. Detailed descriptions of the control schemes are illustrated for control of a Buck converter. Extension to multiple output converters is straight forward. The validity of the proposed control scheme is verified through simulation and experiment.
