This paper proposes a dual band power divider for WLAN applications. The design is modified to improve the performance characteristics. The output ports of the divider are designed by taking extended lines. The modified version gives an improvement in return loss and thus exhibits enhanced transmission. The impedance of the extended lines is obtained from the average value of bi-section impedance transformers using the Cheng design. Proposed circuit exhibits equal power division at WLAN frequencies 2.45 GHz and 5GHz. An improved return loss is obtained at WLAN frequency. © 2017 IEEE.
