Abstract

Risk management concept is a good instrument for systematic approach to the problems of the rational land use. Measures for risk reduction could be legislative; organizational and administrative; economic, including insurance; engineering and technical; modelling; monitoring; and informative. Engineering and technical methods are very important for rational land use planning and landslide risk management and reduction.
