Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) is intended to offer a variety of medical services in the health care industry. The scope of this study is to use advanced cuckoo search algorithm to optimize the relay node selection to enhance the energy efficiency in the cooperative communication for Wireless body area network (WBAN). Utilizing parameters like buffer overflow, energy, distance, and trust value the study compares the advanced cuckoo search algorithm with the existing krill herd algorithm in order to improve the overall network life time. The proposed model examined with fixed deployment strategy and the outcomes indicate effective changes in network throughput and network lifetime. © 2018, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc..
