Abstract
Security can only be as strong as the weakest link. In this world of Communication, it is now well established that the weakest link lies in the implementation of cryptographic algorithms. Hill cipher is an old symmetric key Technique of Cryptography. Here, a novel method of Hill cipher employing used for Cryptography, This is a new type of cipher matrix. In RSA, ‘n’ is send via public key, and if ‘n’s’ factors can be found by brute force attack it will increase the vulnerability of the algorithm. In this paper, we describe a new algorithm which is enhancement over RSA algorithm. Here, we are clubbing the modified RSA algorithm with Hill Cipher method, which enhances the security. The second method uses the Chinese Remainder Theorem (CRT), which help in increase the efficiency of decryption. We first encrypt the data with the help of matrix, later the data is again encrypted by the n1 value. The cipher text is sent and at receiver side it get decrypted by the n2 value and again decrypted by the inverse matrix with the help of CRT to get the plain text but in much less time. © 2014 Research India Publications.
