Abstract
In present situation replacement of fine aggregates is essential to preserve the natural resources, since they are limited. Geopolymer concrete which is an innovative, environment friendly, sustainable and green technology in the field of construction industry helps us to reduce the use of natural resources. Geo polymer uses industrial by products in the production of concrete like fly ash, calcined kaolin, Ground Granular Blast Furnace slag (GGBS) and filler material such as Manufacture Sand (M-Sand), which will reduce the cost. An experimental investigation on geopolymer concrete with Metakaolin as a partial replacement of cementitious material and partial replacement of copper slag for fine aggregates. The performance of 9 different proportions was studied. The mixture was prepared with a alkaline ratio of 0.45. Three kind of system was studied by the use of 100% percent river sand with metakaolin, 50% replacement of river sand with copper slag, 100% replacement of river sand with copper slag. © 2018, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc.
