Feminism is a movement which has been originated to fight for the cause of women and for the emancipation of women. It has also occupied a prominent place in literature since the inspiration to feminism has been drawn from the writings of women. It stated in the 1880s, has undergone different phases and is in vogue even today. It has undergone different changes and many women wirters have added value to it through their writings. The aim of this paper is to throw light on the different phases of feminism, the works of the women writers who had contributed to it and the changes it has undergone during its course of history. © Serials Publications.
