An attempt is made to obtain the Finite Element Solutions to steady state and transient state heat conduction problems using the hybrid of Block-Pulse functions and Lagrange interpolation polynomial. This method can be used to obtain accurate results. The finite element results are compared with the corresponding results obtained using quadrature methods and found to be in good agreement. © Research India Publications.
