This paper describes the flow of a micropolar fluid in an inclined channel bounded by permeable beds is analyzed in two cases. In section A, the Poiseuille flow of a micropolar fluid is investigated. In section B, the Couette flow of a micropolar fluid is studied. The expressions for velocity distributions, the mass flowrates are obtained. The effects of various parameters on the velocity and the mass flow rate are discussed with the help of graphs. When the permeability K and the angle of inclination θ tends to zero, the results deduced are found to be in agreement with the corresponding ones of Ariman and Cakmak (1968). © Research India Publications.
