This article provides the analysis of flying capacitor multicell inverter with different levels, which shows that the THD decreases with the increase in number of levels. The topology called flying capacitor multicell inverter is an inverter which has the property of natural balancing of capacitors available in between each cell, this property of natural balancing makes this type of converter to have more number of levels. In this article, five, seven, and nine levels flying capacitor multicell inverters are analyzed. PD-PWM technique is used to control the RMS voltage at the output. To control the RMS output voltage of these converters, suitable fuzzy controllers are designed and the controlled outputs were verified. The verification of the fuzzy controller is carried out by keeping the reference voltage constant for some time and then varying the same after some time. The waveforms concerned with this verification are provided for validation.
