Abstract
With the rapid increase in number of automobiles in roads as well as population, accidents are a common occurrence nowadays. Most of the casualties from accidents are due to poor communication to the concerned agencies and late arrival of medical assistance. Nowadays there are many technologies like Anti Collision System (ACS), Antilock Braking System (ABS), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) that helps to prevent accidents. However, even after this the number of casualties from accidents is on the rise. Our paper aims at providing a solution to this problem by providing quick and proper communication to the concerned personnel so that proper medical help can arrive quickly to the accident location. With Arduino Uno as the brain of the device, it uses an accelerometer to detect the accident, a heart rate sensor for monitoring the heart rate of the driver, a GPS module to detect the location of the accident and a GSM module to send an SMS to the nearest hospital, nearest police station and a relative of the concerned driver with a google maps link to the location and heart rate of the driver. This will ensure the quickest arrival of medical assistance giving the victim the better chance of survival. © 2019 IEEE.
