The replacement problem is to decide the best choice to determine the period at which the replacement is most economical instead of continuing at increased cost due to maintenance and other factors. Due to some practical difficulty, the cost involved in Replacement problems are uncertain by nature. For such cases the fuzzy parameters can be used to tackle the uncertainity. This kind of problems are called fuzzy replacement problem. In this paper we propose a new method which is similar to the classical replacement problem method to find the replacement time for fuzzy replacement problem with value of money does not change with the time by using the ranking method using Haar wavelet called Haar ranking method. The results discussed in this paper ensure the validity of our method. © Research India Publications.
