High Gain Interleaved Quadratic Boost DCDC Converter

Abstract
In this paper, a novel interleaved quadratic boost DCDC converter (IQBC) with high voltage gain capability is presented. The proposed IQBC is synthesized by interleaving two quadratic boost converters (QBC) to obtain a two phase QBC. The voltage gain of the proposed IQBC is enhanced by using a voltage lift capacitor. Since the switches employed in the proposed IQBC are operated with a phase-shift of 180°, the input current is free from ripples. Experimental results obtained from a 24V to 380V, 100W prototype converter validate the proposed gain extension and design concepts. Under full-load condition, the proposed converter operated at an efficiency of 92.5%. © 2019 IEEE.
