Abstract
The rising of Internet of things(IoT) has effect in the complex M2M networks interactions which needs to be load balanced effectively and resourcefully to reduce the response time and to improvise network resource utilization and scalability of network-enabled services in the integrated wide-ranging communication networks. Load balancing techniques are vital for M2M network to alleviate the extreme loading of network by predicting the rapid short traffic called bursts. A hybrid load balancing (HLB) system for M2M networks is proposed by the usage of SDN capabilities. Using SDN capability to examine and manage the networks’ traffic, the proposed load balancing scheme able to meet the necessities of different quality of service (QoS) through network interchange appreciation and routing. The HLB scheme improves the response time of 15% and reduces the latency by 20% of SDN-enabled M2M network as compared to other load balancers. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
