Abstract
A competency is “a knowledge, skill or ability that enables one to effectively perform the activities of a given occupation or function to the standards expected in working environment. In this modern era, every field needs a vibrant and vigilant professionals to scrutinize the complex knots arose due to various situational problems and to provide the effective solutions on those problems in time. This paper examines one such higher level competency in a profession which creates all other professions that is the multimedia competency of an engineering faculty. The teaching profession need to be highly improvised on grasping the effective attention of students during class hours and make them think the course crust beyond the class hours. A review and analysis on multimedia in the field of educational technology and associated knowledge, skill, and ability statements have been made by conducting a survey on professionals within the field. This paper analyses most of the factors involved in improving the teaching efficiency by improving the multimedia competencies of the teaching professionals. © 2020 by Advance Scientific Research.
