Implementation of ZVS in an interleaved boost rectifier

Abstract
This paper presents a new concept, which makes use of zero voltage switching technique in interleaved PFC boost converter which is used to charge the large battery banks. The proposed topology used here has a auxiliary circuit which is placed between the two phases of an interleaved boost converter. The charging and discharging of the MOSFET’s capacitor, ensures the zero voltage switching. A 300W interleaved boost converter is designed and simulated using PSIM software. The results shows considerate increase in efficiency and power factor of proposed converter. © Research India Publications.
