This paper investigates an exposure to stress among engineering teaching faculty in the work place, to observe the differences between genders and designations. The sample size derived randomly from the Engineering colleges in Gudur and Nellore town is 80. It is observed that the overall stress level is moderate among the teaching faculty. Gender and marital status has significant difference in Institutional stressors. The institutions may focus on causes of work stress and initiative steps for a better work environment and guide them through training and counselling. Institutions also may take up measures to provide better work life balance to the faculty. © Research India Publications.
