Web services are the services or applications provided by a service provider to the web users over the internet. The cloud computing technology evolved from web services as a way to provide resources and infrastructure sharing and found to be a most successful technology for resource utilization with high availability and efficiency. While web services provided a way for availing services through internet the support for platform and hardware sharing is limited. Cloud has been gaining popularity due to its efficiency in sharing and utilization of resource. But the shared in environment raises serious security concerns in the cloud technology. The security issues in cloud make it vulnerable to intrusive attacks [6]. Several efficient methods provide faster detection [1] [4] [5] but the attack may proliferate before any remedial action could be taken. This paper focuses on augmenting a solution to the existing detection technologies that could reduce the impact of an intrusive attack. © Research India Publications.
